Nature trails in the forest for the whole family

In a few minutes by car from Tarzo you can reach the Altopiano del Cansiglio (Cansiglio Plateau), an uncontaminated paradise, a place inhabited since ancient times, able to offer a series of nature paths and trails in the forest suitable for everyone, adults and children. The plateau also holds interesting surprises for enthusiasts of other sports: in addition to hiking, you can play golf, do horse riding, and mountain biking.

The flora and fauna of Cansiglio

The visitor who arrives for the first time in Cansiglio is struck by the beauty of its forest, strongly characterized by the presence of beech trees that vary in tone as the seasons change.

The whole area is also a paradise for fans of animal watching and birdwatching. Since hunting is forbidden here, many animal species find shelter: from hare to roe deer, from deer to fallow, to fox and marten. In recent years, occasional forest surprise visits of lynxes and brown bears have been reported.
